旅行の準備・ホテル・観光地・レストラン【エルサルバドル編】

これは2026年9月から行く中南米旅行の事前準備記録です。今回はエルサルバドル

メキシコの後はパナマまでバス、そこから飛行機でコロンビアに行って南米一周、その後カリブ海周辺国へ行き日本へ帰国予定です。全行程は約1年間の予定　予算は200万。

旅のスタイル

  • 基本ホステルやバックパッカーに宿泊
  • アクティビティには積極的に参加
  • 歴史的建造物・お寺が好き
  • 食事は基本的に昼と夜のみ（ストリートフードや屋台が基本）たまにレストラン
  • 移動費・宿泊費はコスパを重視

僕は写真や動画を撮るのが好きなので写真スポットも調べます。でも、実際に街を歩いて自分が良いという景色を撮ることも好きです。

まずは、行く都市を調べる。時間があれば他のも調べる。基本的にGoogleで調べて、ホステルはAgodaで調べています。

その位置関係を見ながらホステルを調べる。3カ所くらい候補。空き状況見ながら予約するか現地で見てから決めるかを決める。

レストラン・マーケット

  1. La Ceiba: We were told this is the top spot for pupusas in Santa Ana, and they didn’t disappoint. It’s a great local spot that is not fancy at all, which is the right vibe for pupusas. 
  2. Food Stands: Throughout central Santa Ana (especially Parque Libertad) you’ll find many small food stands. There’s so much selection and pretty good turn-over. You’ll find great options to snack. 
  3. Artisant: An excellent option for those looking for something non-Salvadorean. They make a great burger, fixings, and sides. 
  4. Simmer Down: Another great option for non-local food. Simmer Down has an eclectic clientele that matches its eclectic menu. It’s best known for its pizza, which is surprisingly tasty.

  1. Hostal Casa Verde: One of the most popular options so it can book out fast. Very clean, central, and with a good breakfast. 
  2. Hostal Las Puertas: Great Location in Central Santa Ana. The rooms were comfortable and had air conditioning. I liked the small courtyard. 
  3. Velvet Hostal: It’s in a great location, and breakfast is included. The rooms were quite clean, and it’s a great option. 
  4. Kali Hotel: Moderately priced and centrally located. Clean, friendly staff, and included breakfast. 
  5. Remfort Hotel: Great hotel but on the pricier end of Santa Ana. 24-hour front desk is nice for those arriving at weird hours. Breakfast Included.

バス

Santa Ana is well connected with the rest of El Salvador by the public bus network. From the other major towns and cities, these are the bus routes that will take you to Santa Ana:

  • From San Salvador: Board TUDO Bus #201 from Occidente Bus Terminal.
  • From Ruta de las Flores:
    • From Juayua: Take Bus #238 to Santa Ana.
    • From other towns: Take Bus #249 or the Mini Bus to Ahuachapan and then Bus #202 from Ahuachapan to Santa Ana.
  • From Surf City (El Zonte, El Tunco etc.): Take the AC Microbus #102A from your Surf City beach town to San Salvador, and then TUDO Bus #202 from San Salvador to Santa Ana.

エルサルバドル国内を移動するなら、201番は最重要路線なので覚えておくと便利です。

Santa Ana Volcano

Getting here takes about 1 hour by car or 2 hours by bus (bus #248). The entrance fee is $6 for tourists, and guides cost an additional $3. If you choose to do taxi/uber, be sure to work with the driver to wait for you. Picking up a ride from the volcano is difficult. 

Do you need a guide? Probably not these days. The trail is well-marked and traveled; it would be hard to get lost (especially on weekends). I know in the past, friends insisted guides were necessary. But it’s really a good way to help the local economy. They share some information on the hike and stop for good viewpoints.

How to Get to San Salvador Volcano

The cheapest way to get to San Salvador volcano is by local bus. Take bus #103 from Daniel Hernández Park in Santa Tecla (Southwest San Salvador). This route takes around 45 minutes and finishes just down the road from the El Boquerón Nacional Park entrance.

Uber is arguably the best and quickest way of getting up to the crater’s edge. The trip still takes around 30 minutes but is more direct. The biggest issue here is that cell service can be spotty to non-existent at the top. So organize the return trip ahead of time if possible.

By tour. El Boquerón is often part of a multi-stop tour offered by local companies such as EC Tours.

How to get to Joya de Ceren

Getting to Joya de Ceren by bus isn’t the easiest. The best information we could find is to take bus #201 which runs between San Salvador and Santa Ana.

Get off at the roundabout at Sito del Niño, and take bus #108 north to Joya de Ceren.

Otherwise, using Uber, a private driver or using a local tour guide is simpler, though more expensive options.

How to get to Suchitoto

The Cheapest way to get to Suchitoto from San Salvador is by bus. Take Bus 129 from Terminal Plaza Amanecer. The cost is $1 USD, and it takes about 90 minutes.

🇸🇻→🇬🇹→🇭🇳 Copán Ruinas 自力越境まとめ

📋 事前準備
パスポート（残存6か月以上推奨）、米ドルの現金、宿泊先情報、オフラインマップを準備しておく。

🌎 CA-4協定
エルサルバドル・グアテマラ・ホンジュラス・ニカラグアの4か国はCA-4協定に加盟しており、通常は4か国合計で90日まで滞在可能。

🇸🇻 エルサルバドル出国
パスポートを提示して出国手続きを行う。基本的に手数料はかからない。

🇬🇹 グアテマラ入国
パスポートを提示し、観光目的であることを伝える。スタンプが押されない場合もある。

🇭🇳 ホンジュラス入国（Florido国境）
パスポート提示後、入国カードを記入する。宿泊先や滞在予定を聞かれる場合がある。入国手数料の制度は変更されることがあるため事前確認がおすすめ。

Santa Ana → Metapán → Anguiatú国境 → グアテマラ入国 → Vado Hondo → Florido国境 → ホンジュラス入国 → 📍Copán Ruinas

⚠️ 注意点
朝7時前にSanta Anaを出発するのがおすすめ。国境ではスタンプの押し忘れがないか確認し、パスポートや荷物は常に自分で管理する。両替は必要最低限にする。

✅ 安く行くなら公共交通、楽に行くならシャトル（40〜60USD程度）がおすすめ。
